John-Louis started trail running at the tender age of 5, when his parents dragged him up a few mountains in the Adirondacks. Shortly afterward, he transitioned to the track and went undefeated in the 400 and 800 meters at the Oak Orchard Elementary School Track and Field Day for three consecutive years. His meteoric rise fizzled out and by the time he attended college at GW, where John-Louis had to beg, nag, and harass the coach to let him walk on. With GRC, John-Louis intends to focus on cross country and the steeplechase, with the ultimate goal of returning to his childhood glory. John-Louis works at Fannie Mae as a Product Development Manager.
