Campbell Ross

Campbell was born in the Georgetown hospital, so you could say he was born to run for GRC. He had success as a middle and high school runner at the Potomac School in McLean, VA before taking a hiatus from running during his undergraduate years at the University of Virginia. He began running again after college and quickly gravitated towards the marathon, although he did once bring home a blue ribbon from a 1st place finish in his age group in the 200m dash at a local community summer track meet. In 2022 and 2023, Campbell went searching for greener pastures and spent a year living in the mountains of Boulder, CO and then six months in the even bigger mountains of Kenya’s rift valley. While he did find many green pastures to run through, he ultimately realized that there’s no place like home. He returned to DC in 2024 where he is now pursuing a master’s degree in Bioinformatics at Georgetown University, after which he hopes to conduct research in human health and earn a salary that will allow him to maintain his arsenal of running shoes and his ever fluctuating supply of white rice and bananas. With GRC, he would like to continue to lower his PR’s while enjoying the ride.
