Sara Stephenson

Sara was a high school lacrosse and soccer player who started running to stay in shape. Sara walked on to the team at Washington & Lee after not being allowed to try out for soccer. After Sara transferred to Johns Hopkins as a sophomore she fell in love with running, which led to outstanding results . Among her accomplishments were being a member of two NCAA XC team champions, she was a four-time All-American, and set the school record in steeplechase. Sara’s goals are to deepen her love for the sport and to utilize running to connect with, positively impact, and inspire others. Sara works at a small biotech startup that creates mRNA vaccines for infectious disease and cancer.
