Marcelo Jauregui-Volpe

Marcelo started running in 7th grade, inspired by Usain Bolt’s world records in Beijing. He had hopes of being a sprinter like Bolt, but quickly found out he was better suited for the longer distances. He ran at Haverford College, and his senior year he was all-conference and all-region in cross country, and was on the team that finished 8th at the NCAA D3 Championships. Marcelo’s goals include breaking his 5k PR, transitioning to longer road races, and being a contributing member at the USATF Club Cross Country Championships. Professionally, Marcelo works as a multimedia producer for a Spanish-language news show.
