Kelsey began running in middle school in the suburbs of Seattle. When her family moved to Bend, Oregon, she continued competing in cross country and track and also found a love for trail running. Her running career really took off at the University of Idaho. She set the school record in the indoor 5K, was second all-time in the 10K, and placed 11th at the 2022 NCAA West Regional XC meet. She used her extra year of eligibility to run in grad school at Georgetown University, where she placed 3rd in the 2023 NCAA Mid-Atlantic regional and got to run the NCAA cross country Championship with her team. At GRC, Kelsey hopes to contribute to the positive team culture, tackle the roads and improve her track times. Kelsey just started work as a National Student Services Contractor for the EPA doing science communication.
