Chase comes from a family of runners and the sport has always been a big part of his life ever since he realized he would have a future in the sport running the mile in middle school gym class. Chase started running competitively in 2014 during his freshman year at Northwest High School in Montgomery county, Maryland and had a successful track career including multiple indoor and outdoor individual and team state titles.
Chase went on to run at George Mason where he competed in conference meets before his collegiate career was cut short by COVID, prompting him to take a break from the sport. In 2024, Chase returned from his break and regained his competitive fitness by training solo before joining GRC.
With GRC, Chase aims to break the 1:50 barrier in the 800 and see how far he can take himself in the sport in memory of his late grandfather, who was one of Chase’s biggest supporters. Chase currently works at at Bretton Woods Recreation Center as a Maintenance engineer and is the assistant coach for the Northwest HS track & field team.
