Arthur grew up on the Jersey Shore playing all different types of sports as a kid. He started running competitively around the 8th grade and instantly fell in love with the sport. Arthur ran track and cross country all through high school at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School under Henry Mercer (father of GRC President Dickson Mercer) then went on to compete for the University of Washington during undergrad and Johns Hopkins University for grad school. Ever since Arthur knew the barrier existed his goal in this sport has been to break 4:00 in the mile, and hopes to achieve that goal with GRC. Arthur now works for Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) as a data engineer.
